READY TO BOOK YOUR SESSION?
Specific inclusions of my sessions vary between which session you choose – you can find exact details on my Packages and Pricing page – or sale sessions and packages are often located on my instagram posts and stories.
* Once we have chosen a set date I require a non refundable 20% deposit – minimum $100 to secure your session date and time. This is due within 24 hours of receiving your invoice.
*Please also note that if you are booking any MINI, SALE or DISCOUNTED package or session you are required to pay the FULL price within 24 hours of setting a date and time to secure the sale/time and date.
* Please also note that ALL MINI, SALE and DISCOUNTED packages and sessions are completely NON-REFUNDABLE for any reason – however due to weather / sickness or unforeseen circumstances that are within reason and agreed upon – may be rescheduled to a future date or held as a credit to be used towards another session of your choice within 12 months of originally booked session date.
*Turn around time for galleries will be up to 3-4 weeks.
(However I do aim to get galleries out sooner!)
*Please note some times things may arise and galleries may take a bit longer then expected also – thank you for your patience.
* I will aim to share a sneak peak to my Instagram stories within approx. 48 hours – Please let me know if you would NOT like me to do this. I Usually share a collage of 4 images as a sneak peak from my sessions.
*My packages are inclusive of up to 5 immediate family members (this includes mum, dad and children – this does not include grandparents/cousins/aunties etc in immediate family) unless specifically stated (some packages can only accommodate less people – please check specific packages). I can still photograph larger & extended families at an additional cost which will be discussed with your personal situation.
*As my studio space & guest room are smaller areas – I will only be able to accommodate for families of up to 5 immediate members in my studio and up to 4 in my guest room space..
* Please be mindful that it is important to arrive ON TIME for your session. If you arrive late, this will cut into your session time. However being mindful if arriving early I may have a client with me. If arriving early please flick me a message and I will let you know if your okay to come on in. Studio sessions commonly have sessions allocated after yours, so again important to be on time and prepared,
* For outdoor sessions its important to arrive early or on time – we are only given the time the sun gives us for Sunrise and Sunset. Whilst Sunset does tend to give a little longer for shooting time which is great for families, Sunrise – particularly if there are no clouds and its full sun can be very very fast. Its important to arrive prior to your shoot time as you do risk missing the important lighting times. Make sure to plan ahead with travel times and double checking locations.
*Once session is confirmed, I will email you an invoice and your deposit/full payment will be required within 24 hours. Final payments for full sessions will be due within 1 week prior to your session date – 2 weeks prior to your due date for your newborn/birth packages. (If a known induction or c section date is planned – please let me know as your payment date will be due 2 weeks prior to this).
*I love when my clients want to include their fur babies in their sessions – you are more then welcome to bring your pets along to your sessions, just please let me know in advance to make sure the location is pet friendly. For newborn lifestyle sessions including pets – these will need to be in your own home as I cannot accommodate pets in my home studio space. (Due to this space being used for many new babies/children/pregnant woman – allergies, germs and fur may become an issue).
RESCHEDULING INFORMATION!
* In the unfortunate event of illness / severe weather – we will reschedule the date / time to the next best available date to suit us both. Please note if you decide to still go ahead with your session when I have recommended a weather reschedule – this will not be able to then be rescheduled if the conditions turn out not ideal on arrival
*Wind is something I always watch for outdoor sessions (especially for beach sessions), as once the gusts are above 25-35kms/ph the kiddies usually end up miserable. I will always recommend what is best for your family, and for me to produce the best quality images and experience. (As well as protecting my photography equipment). I don’t like to reschedule sessions lightly – so please note when this is done, its in your best interest. For both your family and for the final result of your images.
(My reschedule limits for wind are usually up to 25km/ph for any sessions with kiddies, and I am happy to go up to 35km/ph for solo and couple sessions)
(Rain is another reschedule factor – in the event of any predicted rain – my recommendation will be to reschedule. This again is to both protect your family, the results of your final images and my equiptment)
* We also ask that if you or your children (OR ANYONE in your household) are showing ANY symptoms of being unwell or have been unwell in the 7 days prior to your scheduled session
( OF ANY KIND – COLD/FLU/GASTRO/VOMITING ETC)
That you let me know asap so we can reschedule your session to another suitable date. (This is at no additional cost at all). I work with a lot of new babies and immunocompromised clients (I myself am also immunocompromised – so becoming unwell will effect more then just one session), so illness is very important to me. I appreciate your understanding. This also includes myself, if i’m unwell and unable to shoot your session. I will also never turn up to a session unwell and risk passing this onto your family.
*Also to note – my home studio is situated inside my family home. If any of my family members are unwell in my home, you will be informed and you are welcome to proceed how best suits your situation and family (My studio is a fair distance from my children’s rooms and main living spaces – however this is all under the same roof.)
At times this also may mean I need to be home to look after my children – therefor ultimately ending in a reschedule.
*If anyone turns up unwell, I may have to end your session prior or during. If your child acting unwell – sniffly, miserable etc this may also need to end your session.
*Plus the biggest thing – little ones are not happy when they are unwell and the last thing they want to be doing is a photoshoot – which then ends up stressing parents and siblings. So its in the best interest of everyone, for everyone to be well and in their best moods.
* For studio sessions – I thoroughly clean this space between clients, as well as all client closet pieces that have been used are washed and cleaned as needed and worn. So you can be assured this is a safe space.
*As i am based on the Gold Coast, a lot of families plan their sessions around a family day out – which is a fab idea and use of time. However again make sure your little ones are not too worn out, and drink plenty of water through the day as tired kiddies don’t enjoy sessions as much either. If you do want to make a day of it – I recommend session first – either a sunrise or a morning studio session with the rest of the day to explore. Another option is an afternoon / sunset session then an overnight with the whole next day to adventure.
* In the event that there are further Covid19 / Additional Pandemic / Government Restrictions or a lockdown was to happen again we will either reschedule the date when restrictions ease or just adhere to those specific regulations and restrictions.
Rescheduling isn’t fun for both you and your family or myself and my business. Its not ideal, its not something I enjoy nor want to happen. It does however protect both you and I against illness, weather, poor quality images, galleries and the safety of my equiptment. I do not want to provide anything that is poor quality – and would not feel comfortable doing this. I know these times can be incredibly frustrating and I appreciate working together to find the best solution moving forward.
However – hopefully everything runs smoothly and your chosen shoot day goes ahead as planned!
